Congratulations Scott Roland Martin
FLW likes to hype the Forrest Wood Cup as greatest title in Professional Bass Fishing. Honestly, I don't know that it is even the greatest bass fishing title within in the FLW Organization. I think winning the FLW Angler of the Year title is actually more impressive and has a better pedigree in terms of past Champions. What the Forrest Wood Cup has undoubtly been is the single richest payout

My Thoughts On Six Idea's
BassFan Editor-In-Chief Jon Storm wrote an Op-Ed entitled "Upon the Cliff" where he threw out 6 ideas that he would like to see implemented by the new management at BASS and FLW.Here are the 6 ideas and my thoughts.1. New FLW Logo Policy
See BassFan Dock Talk for the Details:IMO- It's pretty much still a load of crap for the anglers. This new policy isn't much better than nothing. The no BASS or PAA logo's is petty and in certain categories anglers may still be screwed out of incentive programs that require a patch.BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

2010 FLW Series East Lake Okeechobee Results...BassOnline.com blog out of Florida had good Day 1 coverage but nothing is up for Day 2 yet. For that matter FLW doesn't have an article yet either. I wish BassFan would cover these tournaments because I think the level of talent and payouts are "major league."FLW Outdoors Day 2 Story...FLW Outdoors Day 3 Story...So it's Cox, S. Have We Seen the Last Million Dollar Bass Tournment Check?
I read in BassFan Dock Talk that the Ranger Cup Contingency Bonus for winning the Forrest Wood Cup is going to be $100,000 in 2010, which is down from $500,000 last 3 years. In case you did not know, the Forrest Wood Cup win for the last few years has been worth $500,000 and so Ranger owners had a shot at a million dollar payday with the addition of that 500K Ranger Cup money. The first million

Stren Series Loss of Sponsorship: My Thoughts
In the FLW hierarchy of fishing trails the Stren Series, formerly the Everstart Series, is like a AA or AAA level of Professional Bass Fishing. Stren has now pulled out as the title sponsor and now the circuit will be title sponsorless and be called the American Fishing Series.I can see why Stren would drop out as I don't think the sponsorship probably did much for fishing line sales.I think the
