Birds of Spring
Tonight I heard and saw a red wing blackbird across the road. As I was walking back on the driveway I thought I heard a honk in the distance. Sure enough about a minute later two Canadian Honkers flew right by headed North. (Goose Photo from blog The Dreaming Tree)

NYIGF 2011: For the Birds
I kept noticing birds everywhere I went at the New York International Gift Show. The pillows from Dransfield & Ross are an especially beautiful example. Birds are a harbinger of spring and here's hoping that after this brutal winter they arrive in real life soon too!

Kingfisher@GOMH
(Click to Enlarge)This guy came for a visit to see if I was catching any fish last night. I am pretty sure it was some type of Kingfisher due to raised feathers on the back of it's neck, although you can't see that in picture.
