Tribute to Patti Lou

Patti was a sweetheart, but a good guard dog too. She left us far to soon and unfortunately much of the blame for that lays on me for not feeding and exercising her as well as I should have. Very Bad News

In addition to having a urinary tract infection, we discovered our black lab Patti Lou is seriously diabetic. Chances are pretty good we will put her down sometime early next week.

Pete's New Dog Josie

Pete was hunting way up in Northern MN, I forget where, when he went to an animal shelter on a whim. At the shelter was this yellow lab that the shelter workers were very high on. The dog was picked up as a stray and had been in the shelter for about a month. Pete checked the dog out and decided to adopt it. Puppy Bowl VI MVP's and Recap

Tomorrow may be the biggest day in football, but it is also an up and comer in dogdom. Animal Planet will be airing Puppy Bowl VI starting at 2PM (Central). New Leash on Life!

We are in the middle of the dog days of summer in New York so I'm hoping these cute real dogs will cheer everyone up! I have been dreaming about getting a little furry friend and if I do, I am definitely getting a rescue dog and some chic accessories for them from Found My Animal! I actually saw their leash in a photo on The Sartorialist (below) yesterday and was wondering where it came from so I'm glad one of their owners emailed me. Perfect timing! Found My Animal was founded to bring awareness to pet adoption and their leashes are handmade in New England from custom made rope and the cute collars are waterproof. What's even better is that they donate 25% of their proceeds to the non-profit group Louis Animal Foundation!
