One of the items that is included in my One Kings Lane Blogger Tastemaker Tag Sale is the Sotheby's catalog from the sale of The Estate of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis from 1996. Auction catalogs are another great source of inspiration. Not only are they filled with artwork, objects and furniture for sale but many include photos of the homes of the owners. In this case, it's the apartment at 1040 Fifth Avenue where she lived with Caroline and John after she moved to New York. Jackie was such a private person that I love this glimpse of her life at home. If you win the sale on One Kings Lane, you can too!

One Kings Lane Blogger Tastemaker Tag Sale
From planing trips to working on my book and design projects, we have a lot going on here at Habitually Chic headquarters, aka my living room, this week. One of the more exciting projects is a One Kings Lane Design Blogger Tastemaker Tag Sale that includes moi! If they had asked me before I moved, I would have a lot more to include in my sale but I still think you'll find some chic items to add to your own home. The sale begins online on One Kings Lane at 6:00pm PST/9:00pm EST on Thursday, October 6th. Be there or be square!

Tori Mellott Tastemaker Tag Sale at Twilight
Former Domino editor Tori Mellott is a serial mover. Since I've known her, she's lived in at least five or six different apartments. I'm not sure of the exact number since I can't keep up with her peripatetic life. And it seems neither can her apartments. She has storage spaces filled with all the pieces for which she doesn't have room but not for long. Tori Mellott is having a Tastemaker Tag Sale at Twilight on One Kings Lane Tuesday night. (Try saying that three times fast!) I don't know which pieces will be up for grabs but knowing her style, I bet they will be good. I've already been pouring over photos from a few of her old apartments for inspiration. If I were you, I'd clear my schedule at 9:00pm EDT Tuesday and prepare for some stiff competition. Bonne chance!

OKL Tastemaker Tag Sale: Bunny WIlliams
Not everyone can afford a top designer but you might be able to afford something they once owned at a One Kings Lane Tastemaker Tag Sale! They have also branched out from the West Coast and next up on the sale calendar is Bunny Williams who's sale starts tomorrow at 11:00am EDT. I could spend all day in Bunny's shop Treillage and I'm hoping some of those items might be up for sale as well! I also have it on good authority that San Francisco designer Grant K. Gibson will be holding his own Tastemaker Tag Sale on July 24th. Up for sale will be oval portrait of a gentleman that was famously featured in his apartment! I might have to fight you for that one! Bon Weekend!

Bon Weekend!
There is so much fun stuff going on this weekend that I just had to share it all. Saturday is another One Kings Lane Tastemaker sale and this time it features Windsor Smith. That's her work above. I had the please of meeting Ms. Smith in LA and she couldn't have been nicer or more stylish so I'm sure her picks will be very chic!
Also on tap is the Los Angeles Antiques Show which runs through Sunday. I really wish I could pop on a plane and check out this fabulous event. I heard nothing but wonderful things about it while in LA!
If you're in New York, I highly suggest you check out Bergdorf Goodman's awesome Beauty Gift Card Event. The gift card entitles you to $25 off a $100 beauty purchase through Sunday. Not quite as good as the $25 off a $50 purchase which is what the event used to be when I first moved to NYC but I can't really complain. Any discount at Bergdorfs is a good discount! I for one will be stocking up on my favorite Bronze Goddess self tanner from Estee Lauder!
After you load up on beauty products at Bergdorf's, you can head down to MoMA and check out the Henri Cartier-Bresson photography exhibit! I might see you at both!
It's supposed to rain Sunday so I ordered my copy of The Young Victoria on DVD to watch while I hibernate inside. I loved this film and can't wait to see those beautiful costumes again. And of course handsome Rupert Friend too!
If you want to add something fun to your cart after ordering The Young Victoria, then let me suggest the humorous new book Classy by fashion journalist Derek Blasberg. I like to think that all of my readers are already classy so feel free to send it to those less fortunate. Bless their hearts.
